When Jerry and Hector said they were running at less than full capacity, you assumed they were lying.

I always assume Jerry's lying. You should too. He's been proven to be a liar in a court of Law.

yields wouldn't be great with only 8 mil produced for 2 fabs. Whatever

Which 2 fabs are you referring to and where are you getting the number 8 million? You keep saying 2 fabs but you never say which 2 you are talking about and what their capacity is. Also if by yield you mean simply the number of die per wafer then you are correct, Willamette's yields were poor by comparison to NorthWood's, however that's not what I mean by yield. Big die will naturally produce fewer die per wafer, even on a percentage basis but that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the defect density. I've been saying AMD has defect density problems.

Sure According to you and Jerry. AMD had production in 4q-01 of 5.5 mil cpu/quarter/ 1/2 fab.= 11 mil cpu/fab/q; assuming AMD produced at half capacity. Assuming you were being too generous, then AMD had 5.5 mil cpu/ 3/4 fab/q, = 7.33 mil cpu/fab/q.

Ahh no. I never said AMD produced 5.5 million Athlons from Fab30 and I haven't seen where Jerry said that either. I've been using the number 4.5 million which is about half what fab30 should be able to produce at full theoretical capacity. I said AMD couldn't sell more than half the capacity of Fab30, meaning half the theoretical capacity, I didn't say Fab30 was running at half capacity.
