Does anyone have any clues as to how much of AMD's brand new chip has its origins at DEC's various products, either software or the hardware (ie the chip).

Hi Tom,

I'm seeing stocks at 5 year lows that refuse to go lower. The revenues will blow away the revenues of 5 years ago if the economy ever gets back on track. Many computer companies will double or triple. Remember the StrongArm? ARMHY seems like a good play for that. They have a huge amount of the small power microP market. I am mostly into biotech these days but I would switch back to tech in a flash if I saw signs of a pickup in the economy. One of these days, tech must rise again.

You made a good call on gold a while back. I got lucky with that little biotech, amln, and it still looks good as moderate risk/high reward.

I just re-read Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins. I must have missed all the complex metaphysics the first time through. The book is even more relevant today as it was then. Did you ever read Even Cowgirls Get the Blues? Sissy learning her talent was worth the whole book.

Just finished my taxes and was surprised to see I had a rare up year on CPQ. Only enough for a dinner out, but it's a moral victory.
