Re: stoves. I sure do love this ceramic top range made by Whirlpool. I know that some people don't like these stoves, but I sure do. So easy to keep clean. Burners heat up very quickly. Only things about them are that they could be dangerous if you are the kind of person who forgets that the stove is hot after using it because the burner areas go dark again as soon as the heat is switched off. Easy to forget that someone just cooked something on it. However, this one has a red warning light at the front to help make you aware that some burners might still be hot. Other drawback is if you are reckless about putting something very cold on top of a hot burner. The glass actually seems very shock resistant though. I'm always incredibly careful with it, but I had some visitors here who put pots of freezing cold water (water from our deep well) directly onto hot burners. I expected a big CRACK!!! when I saw them doing that, but nada... so it must be pretty tough stuff.

Seeing as how the cornflower is still around after
20, 30, 40 years of abuse, I think it might be
tougher than your average clay pigeons.
There's enough of it for sale on ebay to
put together quite a shooting match.

I like the Calphalon OK, but none of their skillets
have quite the right shape. I am loathe to get a
single extra dish or utensil dirty when I cook.
I make seven course meals with one spoon and two pans.
The skillet must be able to gracefully flip crepes,
vegetables, or eggs without making me resort
to a spatula. For this, the Walmart teflon -
the ones with the wooden handle - work great.
The pans have just the right slope at the sides
so that the food slides up and gently rotates
so that it lands upside down every time.

Sometimes I use two or three wine glasses, though.

See post to Croc! I also have the ceramic top and love it.
It is SO easy to clean.
I don't think I ever got two skeet in a row. IN fact, I;m not sure I ever hit any, and certainly not on my own. But who was counting.
