Earlier I asked
"I have a question. I am running Win98SE and I have removed a HP flat bed scanner interface. Now when I boot up I get a message "Pleae enter password for Microsoft Network". Any ideas on how to stop this? "

You Answered
"First thing I'd do is go to msconfig and see if any scanner utilities are loading at the start. I no longer have my HP but if I remember correctly stimon and a couple of other scanner utils have to be removed. Remember which ones you disable (uncheck) if you plan on using them later. Your scanner will not operate without them."

Well I was out of town and today was the first time that I had a chance to try it. You guessed right. No luck. Any other ideas?
