Gopher Broke What a pile of crap. If it is just that demand is too strong then AMD should intro them at a high price and improve their ASPs from the early adoptions while ramping production as quickly as possible.<<<<<<<<

Isn't that exactly what AMD is doing by introducing the notebooks first, which typically have higher ASP's and less demand. We should know about this within a couple of days as Tbred A4 notebooks are supposed to be out this month.

I hate to admit it but it looks to me like only technical problems can explain this foot-dragging re Thoroughbred introduction, whether that be yield problems or some kind of instability at higher speeds. <<<<<

Couldn't it be from lack of 130 nm machinery. AMD is a small outfit, and the Intels and foundarys are bigger fish with higher priority. In addition, 130 nm wasn't that important, so why pay the high initial price for machines which don't have the kinks worked out yet.
