It is the Wahhabi clerics that worry me. Could it be a powerplay by them to align with a Wahhabi controlled Pakistan (their vision + its nuclear capabilities) in an effort to take on the House of Saud? If this is the case, then Pakistan is important to their future designs and a wedge between the US and Pakistan would help implement their designs.

Also, you've brought up the "Yellow Journalism" present in the US. That may be an effect of Wahhabi investment and professors in the Universities of the US.

So, I guess my real question is, ...Why would the Wahhabi clerics use the US press to create a wedge between the US and Pakistan?

I think I already know the answer but I'd like to here your thoughts.
