The ECRI Weekly Leading Index (WLI) continued its upward
trend this week, rising to 122.7 from 122.2 the previous week. The WLI’s
six-month growth rate, which is a good indicator of the index’s
trajectory, increased to 4.6%, its highest rate since early-2000. Recent
trends in the WLI are signaling that recovery is well underway, and that
economic expansion should continue in earnest over the next several
months.

Yes, I realize the government of Pakistan is not controlled by the Wahhabi. I do not believe my post stated Pakistan was completely controlled by the Wahhabi nor was I trying to imply so. I am also aware of the long and proud history of the people of Pakistan (albeit, not to the extent with which you have raised my knowledge, ...thank you) My post was concerned more with the current events behind the vail of the House of Saud and how it relates to those who would be sympathetic to their ambitions.

To add another element of specificity, the Wahhabi clerics seem to be garnering support via Al Qaida and their schools throughout the world. Are you so certain that the thousands of years aren't about to see a new shift and a removal of the old guard princes? I'm not so sure, seeing that there is a huge element of unemployable young males.

However, since you are sure that the clerics would not be capable of a coup, then again I ask, "Why would the Saudi Government want to drive a wedge between both of us?"

You see, the US media relies on expert opinions on occasion and the "chair" of a department makes a good source. It would be relatively easy to pull the strings of the media if you were in academia. Especially in these times since it does not seem the overall media bothers to check and cross check their data for accuracy anymore and PC is the order of the day (including PC experts). This is most likely the source of your "Yellow Journalism". Since Pakistan doesn't have the same network of sources in the US as does the "House of Saud", you might as well get used to it.

I have because I am a Republican, ...I've learned to get used to it. Remember, we were supposed to be the party who wanted to take the food from children and Social Security from the elderly. Funny thing is, I do not remember receiving an apology for that slander. Hmm, must have slipped their collective mind.

My suggestion to Pakistan is to send your Ambassador out to promote Pakistan and the rich history of your people. Let America get to know you more. It would be best to serve the media as an expert of current events in the middle east. I know you would be the quintessential expert and I would bet your Ambassador is, as well.
