Jack: Just as you sold into the doubt, it was essential that LWIN get the monkey off their back right now. They've done it, leaving little doubt that they can move ahead through the maze, when and as need be.

Well, maybe you call it doubt. I call it sound trading decisions. I would do the same thing again in a heartbeat. I predicted the odds of a last minute release as slim. However, I did hedge my decision with options.

But, what you have to do is look at June, 2003. They have about 4.5 million subs to build out (60% coverage) of the properties they are not indicating they will be liquidating. Thats about 200 million in CapEx. Then comes the Nextwave licenses! If they don't get that spectrum then they have no room for expansion of their markets without going to the secondary market. Which they will no longer qualify as being able to buy unbuilt C or F Block licenses without "enrichment payments".

My viewpoint is that their 180 degree turn on ownership of standard PCS spectrum is something to make a note of! A year ago they were paying "obscene per covered POP" prices for this spectrum. Now they want to rid themselves of it like it's the plague!

"Attention K-Mart Shoppers... Back in our raw spectrum department, we are having a Blue Light Special on our slightly used parcels of spectrum"
