What you have to understand is the bird is dead from the git go. Has a chance of not being shot and living.

Right Anne, hunting is the sport of dinosaurs. Except for a few exceptions in the last private wilderness areas, whatever poor wildlife is left ought to be protected. Hunters should join the army and use their rifles instead on terrorists. Too many of them. Not enough wild animals.

I know hunters hate to hear this but their excuse for existence went out 30-40 years ago. My Dad was a hunter and back in the 60's we shot a few deer, but the world has changed greatly since then, sadly enough, and it's not sport anymore, it's just killing. It nauseates me now hearing hunters brag about bagging a big one. Our forefathers bagged so much and wasted so much there's hardly anything left. Besides, most game meat tastes pretty bad. I can't stand venison. Who needs it?

On that subject I see the NRA is suing to overturn campaign finance reform. Typical as they're one of the greatest enemies to democracy in this country. Bullies, mostly right-wing radicals and loudmouths funneling millions into candidates pockets to subvert the will of the people. As if anyone wants to take away their guns. They use lies and scare tactics plus tons of soft money. I sure hope they lose.

Just be thankful for small favors. The closer to nature (less civilized) man is, the more cruel the hunt probably is. The less industrialized man is, the more disruptive he seems to be to the environment.
