Discrepency re the 4th:
That sounds about right; VTO is using the calendar date of the 4th, and Traders' Almanac is probably using the 4th trading day of the new month. If this is right, you should find some seasonal weakness on the 3rd trading day, which is sometimes the 4th or 5th calendar day, or even the 6th if a Good Friday holiday falls there. Re which computation is more meaningful, if April's strong seasonal tendencies (up and down) are related to deadlines for IRA and other tax deferred entities, that deadline may provide an anchor for the seasonality that is independent of the typical day-of-the-month. If I decide to commit more $ next week, I'll probably do it over 2 or 3 days, so I'll hedge my bets. Thanks for the Traders Almanac data.
