Now here is an interesting thought
You and Neo were discussing respect for religion the other day
Here is a nice test for Neo
Chris Land has a religion
he is very consistent about it
does his religion respect people who are not part of his religion?
No, but then most religions don't
Does Chris want to foist his religion on others?
Yes, just like people who want to put the commandments in schools, and pray in government buildings
As repugnant as people may find Chris Land perhaps it would be good if they realized that people who are atheists and agnostics find these other forms of religious encroachment into the government, and public sphere of life, every bit as horrible as people here find Chris Land's encroachment, in this private space. I just had to mention the connection. I can tolerate Chris Land because he is voicing his opinions the way I would wish all relgius people would (whether they are tolerant or intolerant)- he is voicing them in a private place as a private person. Even though I have been painted as a person who is intolerant about religion, I can, and always have, supported Chris's right to share his thoughts.
