So you are saying all "current boxes" will have to be replaced with new "super boxes" with more capacity, or more fiber will have to lit. Either way it means more equipment. Thanks for making the point of the USA Today article. Looks like good news for telecom manufacturers to me. As I said, listen also to the JNPR CC. JNPR's CC said that the carriers are running current systems at 80-90% capacity. And those systems were not meant to run as such high capacity with increasing and "spiked" bandwidth requirements. And new networks are not build overnight. It takes at least 6-12 months to get new stuff up and running. By the second half, the carriers will have a problem on their hands, and a lot of money (that they deferred) to throw at it.
