I've seen all different PC attitudes in academia. The "PC" in my law school was decidedly conservative, even though it was Berkeley. The law school might as well have been on another planet.

The PC in business departments is different from the PC in biology and that is different from the PC in engineering (which has an attitude more akin to business) which is again different from the Arts. I wouldn't want to generalize, since every school I ever went to was quite different. I never saw much of the horrible liberal bias that so many people seem to be so upset about. I met a lot of conservative academics in college (in the heart of Orange County, bastion of the right). I hoped Boalt would be different but met a lot of conservative academics there too. Sigh- so I've absolutely no experience with liberals in astounding numbers dominating "thought"- but I'd like to. So if you ever find out where they are let me know. I'd like to visit that Shangri La.
