Stressing abstinence is doing nothing in my opinion. It is proven that abstinence only programs are abysmal failures. Only when abstinence is coupled with other programs is there any increased success.

Education doesn't hurt anyone. You know full well that most teenagers laugh at the abstinence programs. Teens have raging hormones and I would rather have my children educated about all forms of birth control and disease avoidance so they can combine that with moral values and make a better decision for all. If they make a mistake then I would hope they haVE enough knowledge to avoid any life changing effects.
