About 3 Qualcomm CC's back when Dr. J was queried about where if anywhere Qualcomm was trialing cdma overlays of IS-136 networks or who Qualcomm was targeting for same, Dr J. cited Cingular as (still) a potential prospect. Scratch that one. << ridiculous upgrade path? >> Ridiculous? Cingular needed yet a 4th technology like they needed a hole in the head, and without any equivalent to a GAIT handset remotely in sight, Qualcomm was selling out of an empty briefcase. - Eric -
