Malthus thought the same in the 18th and early 19th century. He and his dismal buddy Ricardo gave economics a bad name. It seems over-population will always be with us. We're still here so maybe the heart of the problem is ignorance, a general lack of enlightened self-interest.

i'm all in favor of ted turner helping to solve the so-called overpopulation crisis. maybe he can voluntarily leave this earth to set an example.
