Tony,

Re: " ... 50% converted in Q2 and not a peep out of anyone yet re 0.13?"

AMD has "big problems" with their .13um technology. From my work
at this technology node, LowK dielectric is probably the reason that
AMD has not released either a bulk or SOI .13um version. LowK
has a number of defect density and reliability (Via EM) issues. Many
companies (IBM, UMC, TSMC, ...) are also "struggling" with this. Looks
like INTC made the right choice again !!

Make It So,
Yousef

TV, Re, <50% converted in Q2 and not a peep out of anyone yet re 0.13?>

I'm taking that 'cross over' to be wafer starts, not product production.

Re: < Were there no leaks, like with Intel P4's at Akihabara, Japan and other places? Nobody's reported hide nor hair of any AMD 0.13s.>

I don't remember leaks, but I've had 'selective memory problems' before.

Anybody else come up with shipping info on XP(prior to the October 09, 2001 product announcement)?

In any case I'll bet we find out something on April 17th.

Tony,

Were there no leaks, like with Intel P4's at Akihabara, Japan and other places? Nobody's reported hide nor hair of any AMD 0.13s.

AMD's strategy of releasing XP and Tbred makes it tough on investors to know what's going on, since there are generally no leaks on notebook parts. It is easy to be under the impression that everything is fine, when in fact the new processors may be delayed to the point of having huge material impact on earnings, as with Palomino.

Tbred so far has all the signs of being a disaster (based on schedule slips) like Palomino.
