Some atheists are really dogmatic about there being no God. I have never understood them, and I feel as removed from them as I do from the people who do believe there is a God. I can't fathom either position.

LOL! OK, now that we've done the A's (leaving out such subdivisions as the Anglicans as being of minor importance on this scale), on to the ..... D's: deist and Deism.

I think that there is as likely to be a "God" as there is to be a Gremlin Borg running things.

I can't be sure there isn't a Gremlin Borg running things, but it seems unlikely enough that I would feel kind of silly, or false, holding it in reserve as a possibility, even though it is one, theoretically, I suppose.

Calling myself an "agnostic" to cover that possibility would be like insuring myself against waking up speaking only Latin. It's not logically impossible, I imagine.

I'm assuming "belief in God" means belief in an external consciousness that has some sort of control over matters and/or intention and perhaps has desires, such as to be worshipped, and maybe had something to do with the design of life on earth. Something like that. It could refer to a Gremlin Borg of that description.
