Is there a religion that searches for scientific knowledge?

hard to imagine one that doesn't eventually embrace
science.... except for some cult's like the Flat Earth
Society . Religion in one sense is a science though ,
the ---> Science of Spirit .

Einstein felt Buddhism was the best suited to the needs of
science in the 21rst century , more suited to solving practical earthly matters while one is alive , and less concerned with some imaginary afterlife which if does exist must be the direct result of living virtuously and with increased awareness while living in the present.

What do you view as the necessity of religion?

Awareness (of Self)

Exploration of the self , discovery of self , growth of
Self , meditation on self , focus on self , contemplation
of self , the beauty of self , freedom of self , art of
self , poetry of self , expansion of self , love of self ,
detachment from self , harmony of self , compassion of self
perfection of self , maturing of self , enlightenment of
self , control of self , unfolding of self , unity of self,
preservation of self , experience of self,
science of self ,
and
knowing oneself by thyself

All this done as peacefully & unselfishly as possible...such
Blasphemy I know , but what else works ?

(group hugs in the after life come later )
