Are you saying that France is anti-Semitic?

In France, two synagogues have been destroyed and kosher butcher machine gunned, just in the last two days.

There have been over 400 incidents of vandalism or destruction against Jewish targets in the last year.

What do you think?

France has very strong anti-Semites - research the Dryfuss (spl?) trial over 100 years ago and the Vichey Government during WWII

I am saying that numerous media reports indicate a rising anti-Jewishness in France, including at least one government member.

I don't know the statistics and don't really mean to tar with such a broad brush. I intended my post as sarcasm and hyperbole

However, my instinctive sense indicates that there is a significant anti-Israel segment within their government. Admittedly, I could be wrong. But my post was addressing a cynical sarcasm I feel more than anything else.

Well, I certainly question their grasp of reality when a book, written by a Frenchman who claims the terrorist attack on the Pentagon didn't happen (some kind of CIA plot, I suppose)...

As someone who lives a few miles from the Pentagon, I can personally attest that it happened. I saw folks walking from there with blood on their shirts, and I have pictures of the smoke rising from it.

And I have a friend was was around 75 meters away from the impact site.

But yet this book is heading toward best-seller status in France.

Go figure...

Well, la pensée unique is certainly pro-Palestine, no denying that.

José Bové is even over there, pipe au bec and all, just what Palestine has go to do with roquefort is beyond me.
