Agreed...so we got the bottom 20 yrs back..we got the top 2 yrs back? Any more 1982-like articles? I mean really 1982-like? We had a few in end of March 2001 that were more fearful in their cover titles than their content. We had some around 9/11 but not quite (more focus on terror than the economy). In fact, the bearishness then did not linger for more than a week. And that the fact that the 'bearishness' and the point drop was recovered fairly quickly (in 2 weeks?) tells me it may have not been that way after all. Just some da boyz games? I am still waiting for the equities-trashing type of article. Each time an article appears on the gloomy side, that an article will appear on the brighter side of things even eliciting things like the end of the business cycle-type of stories one saw when the motel Clerk was handing out tickets for the next IPO show. Like how tech did not quite remove the business cycle but has shortened its downturn!.. that all the B2B software could not prevent a recession ('cause we are humans after all!) but they sure can shorten a downturn ! ('cause we are humans after all !.. we love theories and hope for the best) Hmmm never mind that many premier techs are THEMSELVES in a prolonged downturn and are STILL cutting staff and certainly NOT hiring any (never mind the labor department numbers) and have not been able to mitigate their OWN downturn cycles!. All this indicates up and down movement to me albeit cycling over several months each way. Mini-bulls and Mini-bears within an overall? BULL? BEAR ? WHO CARES? Make money !
