Arafat closest friend has been India, to keep the millions of Indians at 100$ a month for 24 hours a day duty in Gulf land, India toes Arafat line. Arafat called Indira Gandhi as her sister, has visited India 27 times only to make 5 visits in the last 20 years to Pakistan. India supports the 'intifida' supports Arafat and his cronies and plays a double role vis- vis west, we did the same but as a fundo state not as a liberal secular state! We now have come off age and have decided to align our politics right, no more 'global love of Islam' to dominate our relationships, rather we have been very benign in our recent Israel- Palestine conflict. We are least bothered rather.

Politics at its best, ala Indian style.. Post 11th Sept we had two ways either to be devastated and obliterated by India and of course our negation of US hand would have received US nod for India to carry out the job, as you offered everything that was kindly refused or the other route was to survive, you have 600,000 men on our borders knowing fully well that we have changed directions big time, but you don't want to give us a let up, you want to punish us for the crimes of extremists, can I punish you for the crimes of RSS, a part of your ruling coalition that includes crime of callous murder of Mahhatma Gandhi on their hands?

You don't know how hard you are making for us, fighting these Zabaidas and O&O and your 600,00 men watching us across, I was at Batapur and across Ravi our Armoured Brigade waits for your assault, nearby, I saw poor farmers sowing fields and with the little they had, I felt ashamed of myself, as a man from a region where poverty reigns supreme but we want to take each other on? For what? You can destroy us many a times but after victory another burden of 140 million more Muslims, today they fight amongst themselves tomorrow they will be up in arms against you, the 140 here and the 160 yours, you know that what happened in Gujarat, unfortunately the ideology is thicker than nation hood. Mark my words , lets create love, lets cross this bridge together. Arun..

OT..................
This is shocking, military actions in this day and age are not condonable, no one can condone it, this was nothing but 'broad day light banditry' and 'hi-treason' in my opinion. This is condemnable. We need immediate installation of a civilian set up (AS MUCH CRIPPLED IT MAY BE) and need army to back to barracks. This trampling of 'constitution' makes me feel so poor, depressed and annoyed that 'why us only in the world can go to these extremes' this is making mockery of what we call constitution.
Whatever the reasons, the generals with heavy boots have killed the nascent democracy in the bud that we Pakistanis were trying to build. They should realize the economy is 'bad' because 600,000 standing army needs 8% of the GDP and that cannot go on for ever. To cut the last pound of flesh and demand from politicians to keep begging for more is not going to work. This time around the hardest hit will be their own interest, no one trusts our commitments and no one like this belligerency in our attitudes. The economic impact of this action would traumatise the country for long term. What can I say I am ashamed that I have to see this today, I wish as a nation we could have had little tolerance, little love little forebearance and and less of this urge to keep fighting a futile battle ofr nothing, that is destroying us..

<<...first they try to start a war with India...and now this...>>
They screwed up big time, they waged the war with India, and now are pissed off as political government withdrew them from what would have been an annihilation if 4th July agreement would not be in place. The issue here is of restraining of our generals and instill in them the ability to understand the wastefulness of continuing holy jihad, what is the purpose of it? The fighting man in our nation fail to realise that we cannot keep up with $ defense spending, we just don't have them we need schools, housing and food on all these counts we have nothing to show to the world, coup detats are disgrace and things of past, I feel bad and sour..
