But on the whole, why was Intel ranked the 10'th most admired corporation in America?

Why wasn't AMD on the list?

"List of America's Most Admired Companies"

Admired by who? By stock speculators?

Monica:

You are making the mistake of many...You are living on past INTC laurels...INTC is in checkmate if AMD's Hammer comes close to its hype!!! INTC's product development, in a relative sense, has eroded at an exceedingly rapid rate over the past 3 years...If this erosion continues at the same rate over the next 3 years, INTC won't be found in the top 100...Hammer, according to current leaks, may even accelerate this rate of INTC "product lineup" erosion that even the most zealous of INTC supporters would have to admit they have witnessed over the past 3 years...AMD has a plan and is working that plan...INTC's plan seems to be to throw money at the OEM's in effort to prop up the anaemic p4...Such a shortsighted INTC plan has already eaten up all the "cash buffers" (i.e investment pool of $5 billion in FY00) and unless p4 can stand on its own (not if Hammer arrives) INTC is in deep red...

I notice that treatment of customers is not on the list.
