Did Arafat have any options two weeks ago? Yes he did, and he choose the option of continued suicide bombings, so he made his choice. The fact that today he doesn't have any choices today is his own fault.

He could still speak out in Arabic against the suicide bombings and declare them unlawful and anti-Islamic or whatever. He would then gain a bit of respect and maybe some breathing room. He won't do that since he is a terrorist that uses suicide bombers for his own ends.

Hell awaits Arafat.

I very much doubt it would solve Israel's problem with suicide bombers.

This will be the point to watch, IMO. The people blowing themselves up can't make these bombs. It takes an organization to do it. Can the Israelis bust this up? They obviously hope so. If they go through this whole military exercise and don't reduce the bombing, then they really have problems.

I suspect that they might be able to put a real dent in the bombing. TWT, like everything else.
