Let me join you as a conservative who wants some abortion rights reserved to citizens themselves. I have no desire to join the debate on that issue as I recognize that drawing the line would be difficult for anyone who simply set out to do the right thing in choosing where the line should be drawn. This is not an easy issue, as a country we are quite divided on it, and I appreciate very much the sincerity of those who oppose it entirely. To me this is a weighing of competing moral convictions on a scale in such a way as to draw a line which satisfies no one but which keeps the peace.

>> Not true, Craig. No way I'm a social liberal. I believe in capital punishment <<

why am i not surprised? you believe women should be allowed to murder their innocent child, so it's not much of a leap to be in favor of killing people who are not innocent.

>> support victims rights over criminal rights <<

nope. you support the rights of criminals (women who perform abortions) over victims (defensless innocent children in the womb).

>> & was thrilled when the welfare system was finally reformed. <<

a true conservative would want to abolish welfare. :)

>> Believe it or not, that is not the most important issue on the Republican platform <<

well it is for millions of republicans, and it very well should be the most important issue.

>> In fact, many outstanding Republican candidates agree with me and not you on the abortion issue. <<

what is your point? you decide the merits of a particular issue based on how many people share your view? i suppose you would have made a great slave holder or a great believer in the earth being flat. you would have agreed with many outstanding historical figures, so i guess that would have made you right!
