Petz,

As far as building up a brand, "AMD" and "Athlon" is enough, for the limited budget. Duron, and another brand name for Hammer that was discussed (Enron, Enero or whatever) are just dilluting the limitded $$$.

I agree. I hope AMD phases out the Duron product line once Hammer arrives in volume. I think differentiating both product lines e.g. like "Athlon 64" and "Athlon XP" should be enough. In that case AMD can benefit from the strong brand recognition for Athlon without having to spend tons of money on marketing a new name.
