I don't see how Sharon can back off -- Powell or no Powell. If you scale up the suicide bomb deaths, using 50 to 1 as a round number comparing Israel's population that of the United States. Then, the equivalent of about 2,000 Americans would have to die in terror attacks in a week to equal Israel's one-week death toll. What nation, and a nations first requirement is to protect it citizens, can stand that?

If Canada tried that, several cities would be reduced to dust.

That's BS, Haim. The League of Nations voted to form the state of Israel in 1947. I have never seen a breakdown of the vote, but it was a majority. If the world was against the Jews, that would not have happened.
