My point is not to ban disagreement, which I do not consider the same as attacking, nor to ban attacking in each instance, but to set a high bar to setting in motion fundamental conflicts. I think that race was an inevitable and proper ground upon which to say "enough is enough", and to challenge community norms and private beliefs, because the pace of change was too slow, the oppression too clear, and the government was implicated in holding back progress by enforcing segregation. In many instances, it is not necessary or proper to be so aggressive......
