Polling was conducted by telephone April 2-3, 2002 in the evenings. The sample is 900 registered voters nationwide with a margin of error of ± 3 percentage points

LOL! The margin of error in the responses is ± ten thousand deaths, a few billion $$ and a nuclear explosion or two.

The War on Terror is won by the US getting its grubby fingers out of the light socket called "the Middle East".
Stop paying petrodollars to the deviant totaliarians, file criminal profiteering charges against warlords Bush Sr. & Co. who are motivated towards warfare at their profit, and to the loss of everyone else.

Take the money and profit out of those conflicts, and they'll stop.

US involvement becomes more important to the combatants than the issues between themselves !

That's an obvious message, recently stated correctly by Henry Kissinger, who has apparently learned his lesson as a Vietnam/Nixon era "war criminal".

Republicans are more inclined than Democrats to believe military action is needed. Almost half of Republicans (48 percent) think a military victory is needed compared to 32 percent of Democrats and 33 percent of Independents.

The thing is, the Republicans don't care who the military victory is against!
