I wouldn't comment on the issue itself, but with regard to your analysis of the transactions, I think you're probably right. The commissions would have come to roughly a penny and a third per share, in my assessment, perhaps a penny for brokerage and a quarter/third of a cent sales credit. These days, with dealers moving away from principal transactions, that's not an unrealistic transaction charge.

In all likelihood this was a trade done on a net basis, whereby - as you picked up - the commissions are factored into the overall transaction price either on a dollar or per share basis.
