Why hasn't the dollar crashed yet?

In spite of everything we have been through:

1)WTC Catastrophe. The catastrophe of September 11, and its impact on the financial markets in the US.

2)Euro. The lows in the Euro in 2000 around 83 cents and 2001 and 2002 of 84 cents up to 96 cents late 2000 and most recently highs of 92 - 94 cents in 01 - 02 now at 87.5 cents.

3)Gold. The advance above 300 to 308 most recently now back below 300 NY Spot ($299.80). This from the lows around $252 an ounce.

4)Middle East turmoil...

ad nauseam.

Please help me of my ignorance Ken. What will take the dollar down?

Best Regards, J.T.
