Specifics, Neo ... how does all this apply to the issues of the day ... softwood lumber for instance - where does your 'conservative' stand, with the reptiles of the yeller pine lobby or with the cute cuddlies strong and free?

Interesting the origins of the words - conservative has a root in conservare, 'to watch over', liberal comes from the latin liber, 'free'
