Z, Re: What if "solving the problems that lead to it" includes doing something really bad, like agreeing to get rid of Israel? If the Palestinians had their own state, real future prospects and a normal living I am sure that terrorism in that region would steadily decline. Palestinians are people like you and me -- it just that the circumstances that they live in are so miserable that some of them only see terrorism as a solution. There would be certainly still some terrorist attacks even after the foundation of a new state, respected by Israel. But in the long term I think it would slowly "dry" out as perspectives improved for the Palestinians. Andreas
