I'm not condoning assassination but, let's face it, Sharon padded his administration with right wing nutjobs. You might not be condoning assassinations but you are surely minimizing them. Your subtext is: "He was asking for it because he was a right wing nutjob. Plus, he was just a Minister of Tourism, big deal." Would the assassination have been any less egregious if Peres had been killed? What you don't acknowledge is that a top member of the Israeli government was assassinated--a cassus belli under any circumstances, regardless of the official's position, political affiliation, or political beliefs.

Today I heard [on radio] some Jew saying they had a God-given right to Israel... thereby convincing me that that person was insane and should be in a cage, not in charge of a country! Is there more than one such insane Jew? I'm sure so. It's called Zionism I think. There are also such crazed, insane and superstitious Moslems. Usually found in the process of head-hacking.
