kanuti, << Not to be a smart a*s >>

7 pc's does sound like a lot, but here it is....

I have 2 Dells set-up in my office for trading and a Dell lap-top w/a wireless I-net that I take with me when I'm on the road.

Now, I have 3 kids who seem to want to go online all at the same time...They used to share my PackardBell (remember them) but now they all have their own e-machines (remember them)..LOL..and the PackardBell got shifted to my Mother who needed to upgrade from her whatever it was (remember them)...

Anyway, One Dell4100 cost $1,200 last year brand new and I bought an Identical one on E-bay for $500...The lap-top is brand new and that cost $1,450.00...Mikey was holding a fire sale...The same lap-top nows sells for $1,700.00, but if you catch it right they do offer rebates and free shipping...

The 3 e-machines cost $300 each w/a 15" monitor....

And I think the PackardBell cost more than all of the above combined about 5 years ago...LOL...

Anyway, I agree wireless is convenient and a great way to build a network...

I was only pointing out that it is still expensive compared to conventional networking methods...
