No doubt they are. But that still doesn't exempt them from having speed path problems. Maybe I am the only one that sees this, but AMD is pushing their .18u process very far to compete with Intel's .13u process, and that leaves them wide open for problems similar to the 1.13GHz Pentium III. I give them the benefit of the doubt, and figure that they probably realize this, but they are still taking a larger risk with speed grades that have to be hand picked.

I've been involved with semiconductor manufacturing and testing for almost 20 years and I've never seen or heard of anything being hand picked.
