If we can cut our oil dependency by half in ten years Russia, Khazikstan and Mexico plus our own supplies can do the trick. Finally we'd be free of the Middle East. Already Russia has defied OPEC. One of the reasons Bush and Putin found common ground I'm sure. But we are going to need a President who is not beholden to the oil business starting in 2004 to really get this done.
