Agreed, What ever happened to all those Cafe standards for emissions and Gas mileage from the 1970'S?
how about those electric cars? And what about the solar, water, wind, and atomic power we were suppost to have in place by 2000.?????
And we are betting on dead animal carcas from millions of years ago to supply our needs.
Geez....

The guys in power benefit from the present system. What incentive do they have to change.

Frankly we could all run our Hondas at 54 miles a gallon right now but that's not going to happen either.
