GATOR - somehow GATOR has launched on my puter. It is a service that offers to remember passwords. everytime i sign onto a site, it pops up and asks if i want Gator to remember my password? Apparently, it can also fill out forms for me. Does anyone use this? is it worthwhile? how do they make money to cover their costs?
IE has a nice system of remember passwords - so I am not inclined to add Gator to my repertoire. tia. larry

IE freezes on Microsoft sites are a common complaint lately. I have read that it's a site problem, not your browser. If you think that's not the problem, there is a repair tool for IE 6 in Windows XP... System File Checker. You need your disk and run the command sfc /scannow. (start/run/and then type "sfc /scannow" (space after sfc)) and hit OK. Internet Explorer is part of the WPF (windows protected files) that can be repaired running SFC.
