I agree with very much about the sarcastic ripostes, Neo. IMO, they're on the upswing with regard to conversation about religion. Dithers has turned the tables. So far only Laz has spent the effort to answer him.

What I object to, Neo, is that you seem to have claimed the right to define the terms under which any discussion of religion is to be conducted. I claim you have no such right and I don't either, nor anyone else who gets involved. I see your "Let's not question anything our great grandfathers believed" stance as simply a furtherance of this. As Steven pointed out, the Western tradition is more closely the exact opposite of that.
