I took that as a challenge.

OK, me, too. I have some beliefs. I speak for myself only. I imagine that some of those who don't believe in God have substitute beliefs. I tried to present mine a week or so ago and apparently did so clumsily, so I'll try again.

I believe that people have free will. It's certainly possible that we're just machines with genes and instincts, but I prefer to believe that we are entities who make choices.

I further believe that people have a bias towards life, towards good, towards growth and accomplishment, towards wisdom, towards beauty. That belief is certainly arguable, but I choose to believe it, even when faced with evidence to the contrary.

If I have any other beliefs comparable with the beliefs of the religious, I'm not aware of them, or at least can't think of them right now.

Any that wants to pick them apart is free to do so.
