The Left Is No Longer Right

Z, lets set up a theoretical scenario some time in the near future. Tensions once again have built up between Israel and its neighbors. Suddenly, the Arabs jointly declare war on Israel and begin a major offensive. Israel appeals to the US and its European allies for military support.

However, the US is dealing with a major civil war in a Central American country and with an ongoing series of terrorists attacks within its own borders. The best the US can do is send a carrier and two warships based in the Mediterranean. In the meantime, the EU on a split vote decides not to send military aid to Israel. Israel is on its own.

You don't think this scenario is a very real possibility? I would suggest to think again. I think its very possible, maybe even probable, and is something that every person involved in this process needs to be thinking about. Just my opinion.

Oh, and if you think the Arabs can't pull this one off.....that the 60's war proved that they are inept fighters, well its also possible to contend that these ain't your father's Arabs.
