carranza. This is a tough thread. You get insulted by Eric any time he decides something is unfavorable to NOK. It seemed to me that it might be favorable to equipment sellers to sell another generation or two of equipment to the hapless operators -- thus Edge might be good for NOK even if opreators get shafted. These poor operators that decide to set up GPRS to compete with 1XRTT and then 1XEVDO do have a problem. They are waiting for W-CDMA Now we see Edge being touted as the silver bullet. Really, it seems to me like their best bet is to build out GPRS and then switch to GSM1X. Otherwise, GSM operators seem to be playing a shell game where they always lose & the equipment vendors sell them a bill-of-goods snf another half bakedPOS system.
