carranza it is my understanding that the US did carpet bombed certain targets in Afghanistan. All I suggested was that the same moral rights employed by the US in Afghanistan should be employed in the West Bank. Would totally agree that INDISCRIMINATE carpet bombing is wrong and I did not suggest such in my post.

and world opinion is with us now? get real, if jews do anything which allows their survival they will be condemned by both the Islamic and European worlds. face it, those two groups have been trying to kill jews for several hundred years. nothing has changed. to believe that suicide bombers and terror is a result of jewish occupation shows how foolish these people are. it is a fact that Arafat's uncle was a major supporter of Hitler and pushed hitler towards a 'final solution' for jews.

World opinion would turn against Israel. As opposed to what it is now? Face it, world opinion says that a) everything Israel does in self-defense is unacceptable, and b) there is no possible Palestinian behavior in conducting their intifada that would be unacceptable. Literally anything that the Palestinians do is okay by world opinion. Blow up kids? Praise suicide bombers as martyrs? Storm churches and hold priests and nuns hostage? Run bombs in ambulances? The world censures Israel. This exerts a continual pressure on Israel to strike massively when it does strike, since they know that they will be condemned for whatever they do. In for a calf, in for a cow.
