Once the Enron civil class action against the bankers gets into discovery, my feeling is it will go all the way to the top of the Clinton administration.... What's that former Treasury secretary's name... Rubin? Now with Citigroup... He called O'Neal last fall and started out the conversation with, "This is probably not the right thing to do...." Enron coming back to bite the Democrats big time might be an understatement. They might have even approved of it, knowing that it wouldn't blow up until after Clinton was out of office.
