I don't think we know enough yet to say that a home demolished with people in it was not a legitimate target and that the people were too. If it was not I would be the first to condem it but my view is that Israel is fighting a war that we would insist on fighting ourselves if we were the targets - as we have just done in Afghanistan.

During ww2 did any of the combatants worry about piles of dead bodies when in combat? Before there was TV did anyone worry? War was hell then and is hell now. Israelis are hunting terrorists and armed gunman. There are firefights. People die. Sometimes innocents in the crossfire.
I am as repelled by the carnage as you. The Palestinians brought this upon themselves however by the way their "freedom fighters" have behaved. Think US firebombing of Tokyo, Britain/dresden, Serbia, Hutu/Tutsi, Syria/Hama, sadaam/kurds, etc for comparisons to israeli actions and you will see that israel has not been a major violator.
