If you use just apple and you just plug and play it, then it works... but if you go down to Fry's and buy off the shelf and install what is CHEAP, which is how many of the consumers buy things, chances are you will not get a plug and play system i agree. i would rather pay apple to make sure it works. it is not worth the hassle of buying a system that requires a call to tech support. BTW - THE absolute worst car I have owned is a Mercedes. i can believe that. i don't know why people buy those Mercedes SUVs. they always have horrible repair records in Consumer Reports. actually, i don't know why anybody would buy anything other than Toyota/Lexus if they read CR. or maybe BMW if they want a sexy car.
