Re: "What are you gonna do when Fox News has double the ratings of CNN? -- and it will."

Help me understand the phenomenon of Fox News. Is there some kind of validation of political thought because more people watch certain Fox News programs than CNN programs?! I don't get it.

Unfortunately, you don't get it either, Zoltie. Ran across a story today with some interesting numbers:

Each weeknight, more than 31 million people watch a network evening news program -- think Rather, Brokaw, Jennings.

By comparison, Faux News' leading right-wing rager, Bill O'Reilly, captures a nightly audience of just 2 million people.

The trend to cable is also now reversing itself somewhat More people are tuning in to CBS-ABC-NBC evening news shows again:

ABC (Jennings) viewership up 8 percent over last year.
CBS (Rather) viewership up 3 percent over last year.
NBC (Brokaw) viewership up 1 percent over last year.

So the bottom line is: Who gives a rat's ass that Faux is beating CNN in the ratings?

Apparently only you.
