re: the arabs think they have a chance to dislodge Israel

Hezbollah, in Lebanon, showed them how to do it. They were the first Arab soldiers, ever, to force an unconditional Israeli military withdrawal.

So, yes, the Arabs now have a proven method for how to defeat Israel. In addition, they realise that, if a million more Jews emmigrate from Russia and Argentina and France, to Israel, and are settled by Sharon in Judea and Samaria, then a Palestinian State will never happen. It's now (next few years), or never. The rising anti-semitism throughout the non-Muslim world actually makes Israel stronger, by pushing an ever-larger fraction of the world's Jews into the Jewish State, or into the superpower that supports the Jewish State.

Israel can defy the world, as long as she has U.S. support. The hard question is, can the U.S. defy the world, by supporting Israel?
