I suspect they will adjust the divisor, like they do when a stock splits the right way. -g-

Fundamentally, my guess it could be viewed as hugely bearish for telecom because T is essentialy admitting they don't expect improvement any time soon, and it might hurt tech, but I don't think it will have much fundamental effect on non-tech stocks. JMHO...

Remember those rumors a few months ago that T was on the verge of insolvency?

divisor will increase for the distribution of AT&T broadband. then divisor will decrease for the reverse split of AT&T. the net will be a small decrease since AT&T stock will be slightly higher in price going from essentially a $ 15 stock to $ 21 in a group of 30 stocks, most of which are in the 40s to 120.
